Tom Haakman
Raised in a religious environment, Tom’s own belief gradually faded. This change led him to explore what happens when religion loses influence while technology becomes the main way we make sense of the world. His sculptures, inspired by both religious symbols and internet culture, show a world in transition—where traditions, rituals, and ideas of the sacred meet screens, digital tools, and coded systems.
Tom Haakman has exhibited at Gallery Chez Freddy, Manifestations during Dutch Design Week, This Art Fair, Art The Hague, and Museum Catharijneconvent, which recently acquired several of his works for its permanent collection.
